Intelligent CIO recently featured a story about AMD’s success with Skuid.
AMD is a $9.76 billion California-based semiconductor company with global operations in more than 35 locations.
Yet, like many businesses struggling to create accurate forecasts, AMD relied on homegrown tools to manage its sales processes. Using Skuid, the company customized its Salesforce instance to better accommodate sophisticated multi-level forecasting, pricing and quoting requests, account management, and other administrative tasks.
The result: AMD’s new sales app reduces the time spent on forecasting from over four hours a week to about 30 minutes. The new forecasting app has freed reps to focus on selling, improved forecast accuracy, and is helping the company tie customer opportunities back to revenue.
“In executive meetings, we’re having higher quality conversations about what we can do in the business, how we can expand market share, and where we need to take the product portfolio,” said Alfredo Silva, IT business partner for sales at AMD. “And it’s driven by this connection between the downstream demand signal and the tactical manufacturing and shipment of chips. That’s one area where I think Skuid has been instrumental because it helps us visualize that connection.”
