Companies invest hundreds of thousands of dollars for enterprise software applications to manage their data. However, these systems often don’t communicate with each other, making it tough for decision makers to get a holistic picture of their organization to make strategic plans.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, 79% of organizations haven’t fully integrated data sources across the organization, according to a study by Capgemini Consulting.
This has been a tough problem for our customers to solve, and we wanted to help. That's why we developed Data Adapters, to link Skuid pages to external data sources in real time.
Connect to REST APIs
Now you can connect your Skuid pages to any data source using REST APIs. That means you can connect to Oracle, Google, Dropbox, Evernote, Amazon, or anything that has a published REST API.
That opens up literally thousands of data repositories on the web. It’s all point-and-click, you don’t have to write a single line of code to connect your systems.

Connect to OData sources
We’re also giving you the ability to connect to OData sources, opening up SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, and much more. That means you can now use Skuid to build a user experience that includes Salesforce, SharePoint, and SAP data.
Read and write instantly
Through our single platform, easily add, edit, and delete records from many different databases in real time. Use this data in any Skuid Component, including graphs, tables, wizards, and more. If you can’t tell, we’re pretty excited about this new feature! Did we mention that it’s available today and included within Skuid at no extra cost?
Maintain security
All of this functionality was built with your data security in mind. Skuid’s authentication tool ensure that only authorized users can view your data by configuring trusted authentication providers, using OAuth 1 or 2.0, or using your own custom Apex authentication.
Either way, it’s simple to setup and maintain. If you want a more technical explanation about what’s happening under the hood, check out the release notes.
