Meet Skuid Rockaway, a powerful release that introduces a host of new features, making it easier than ever to create a bespoke user experience in record time. Enjoy even more options for collaboration, data integration, security, and accessibility in this release, which will be generally available in May 2016.
Collaborate effortlessly with your team

With the Skuid Rockaway release, it’s easy to work on complex projects without stepping on any toes or losing work. In the past, if you were working on an application with a large team, it was hard to know who was working on which pages. New notification icons at the top of the Skuid Composer will alert you:
- When someone else opens a page you’re working on
- When you open a page someone else is working on
- When another user has unsaved changes on a page you’re working on
Now you can work on any page without worrying that you’ll accidentally overwrite someone else’s edits.
Connect to even more data
In our last release, you gained the ability to read and write data to external data sources with Skuid Models. With the Rockaway release, you can easily connect to more data sources than ever before. Now, with just a few clicks, you can connect data from multiple Salesforce orgs.
With the upgraded Skuid connections in Rockaway, alongside the connections we introduced in Banzai, you can seamlessly read and write data from Sharepoint, SAP, Oracle, and any number of Salesforce orgs in a single app without writing any code.
Expand your security horizons
When first introduced, Skuid provided several authentication options to connect to external data. With Skuid Rockaway, you now have access to new types of authentication. Learn more about them in the Rockaway launch webinar.
Build an even better user experience
Every user, including people with disabilities and dexterity issues, should be able to access apps you build with Skuid. Now, your users can navigate Skuid tables, menus, and buttons with their keyboards.
This is especially important for users who navigate the Web using screen readers. We’re aiming to add more and more accessibility features later this year.
Integrate with your developer tools
Now it’s easy to use Skuid alongside your team’s other developer tools by utilizing Skuid’s new Page XML API. This new API allows you to push and pull Skuid pages and metadata through your own scripts to a variety of systems, including Git, Subversion, and Grunt.
It’s a great tool for version control and automated deployments. Want to learn why good UX is important? Download our free eBook today!
