I’m excited to announce the acquisition of InFlight, a solution to help enterprise companies modernize their business applications and improve people operations and employee experience (EX).
InFlight aligns perfectly with our mission to help enterprise companies deliver business agility with apps people love to use. From day one, our vision at Skuid has been to humanize enterprise software. We have successfully delivered on that vision. Hundreds of enterprise companies use Skuid to build better apps across revenue, customer, and people operations. As we continue to be a trusted solution for these focus areas, the acquisition of InFlight now helps us to double-down on people operations.
Leveling up EX is no longer nice to have—it’s imperative. And yet, it’s more lacking than ever. A recent Gartner survey revealed that only 13% of employees are fully satisfied with their daily interactions with the people, processes, and technology necessary to their jobs. Technology and how it’s used plays a critical role in shaping EX, for better or for worse. But having the right technology is only part of the solution. Enterprises need the right product and the right process. They need human-centered design combined with a great solution, and the newly expanded offering of Skuid + InFlight provides that.
For the last decade, the InFlight team has made its mission to improve the user experience of enterprise applications and portals for recruiting and retention, onboarding, time management, risk management, and many others. InFlight has built an exceptional team and product, with extensive subject-matter expertise and integrations to human capital management (HCM) systems like Oracle PeopleSoft, Taleo, Workday, and SAP SuccessFactors.
InFlight is an exciting addition to our company and an offering that extends our ability to successfully deliver on our original vision. Together, Skuid and InFlight offer the most complete solution for enterprises seeking to optimize people operations and EX. With the ability to easily craft modern user experiences with Skuid, backed by InFlight integrations, enterprises can quickly create web-based, fully accessible apps across their people-facing stack, including human resource software (HRS), human resources information systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems (ATS) and others. This results in greater control of EX without the need for heavy coding.

InFlight adds some game-changing capabilities that complement the human-centered philosophy and design-led execution model of Skuid, including:
- InFlight script library: The InFlight script library captures data from older HCM systems on-the-fly to make it available through a REST-like “synthetic API.” This technology makes it possible for Skuid to connect to data from older systems that lack a well documented server-side API. Skuid will leverage the entire library of InFlight synthetic APIs to make it simple and easy to connect to data from older systems and create modern people-operations application experiences, without interfering with the system of record.
- UI Templates: InFlight user interface templates modernize how organizations work, without spending too much time and money on HCM upgrades, add-ons, or migrations. InFlight templates provide total control over how users engage with HCM systems by providing a continuous and consistent user experience, surfacing information in the flow of work, creating personalized dashboards and content, and quickly deploying mobile-optimized micro apps. InFlight templates deliver a much better user experience for dozens of HCM applications, including recruiting, applicant tracking, employee onboarding, payroll, benefits, and much more. Currently built with code, these templates will be converted into Skuid “accelerators,” making it much easier for customers to deploy and customize fully branded people-operations experiences without writing code.
- Content Management System: The InFlight CMS service makes it possible to build out richer portal content and features while offering delegation and approvals of content authoring, so many people can contribute and edit site content based on their permissions. This capability will be integrated with Skuid services to provide advanced content management to Skuid and InFlight customers.
Now we start the exciting task of unifying both companies into an even better product, team, and overall offering. We are thrilled to welcome the InFlight leadership to the Skuad, and it will be business as usual for existing InFlight customers. Over the next weeks and months we’ll be sharing more about our plans and roadmap for integrating InFlight.
