In August 2023, we launched the Skuid Certified - Builder Program. If you’re considering pursuing this certification, you probably have questions. What does it mean to be a Skuid Certified Builder? How can this kind of certification enhance your career? How exactly do I go about getting certified? In this post, we’ll answer all of your burning Skuid certification questions, from the general to the specific. Let’s jump in.
Why get certified?
Taking the time and effort to become a certified Skuid builder shows that you’re dedicated to your profession and have honed your Skuid skills to expert levels. Plus, earning a Skuid Certified – Builder credential makes you stand out in today’s competitive hiring market. It can even help you get a well-deserved promotion at your current position.

How do I get certified?
There are four main steps to the Skuid Certified - Builder certification process:
1. Registration and payment
If you don’t have one already, create a free Skuid Skool account. Then, register for the certification program and pay your fee.
The cost for certification is $195. That fee includes access to the certification prep guide, one practice exam with unlimited attempts, and one official exam to be taken within six months of registration.
2. Study and practice
Now it’s time to hit the books! Here’s a helpful six week study schedule but with Skuid Word UTMs] which walks you through the recommended Skuid Skool courses. Once you register, you’ll also get access to a prep guide which lists the key content areas in the exam and relevant resources for each one.
The exam itself has 40 questions on various Skuid building topic areas. The three major topics are Skuid Concepts (45% of exam and score), Skuid App Building (50% of exam and 45% of score), and Launching Skuid Apps in Salesforce (5% of exam and 10% of score). Before taking the exam, we recommend that you successfully complete the Level 1, Level 2, Deploy and Manage Skuid Apps in Salesforce, and Explore More learning paths in Skuid Skool. You should also be able to build confidently in Skuid, as the exam covers real-world scenarios.
When you feel ready, take the practice exam included in your registration fee. You can take it as many times as you’d like!
3. The certification exam
Once you feel you’ve mastered the material, it’s time to take your certification exam. You’ll need 90 minutes to complete the exam, as well as a:
- Desktop or laptop computer
- Stable and fast internet connection
- Supported web browser
- Working webcam
- Microphone or headphones with a microphone
Before taking your test, confirm that you can log into the testing environment. Your login information can be found in your registration email.
You’ll receive your score immediately. A score of 60% or above is considered passing.
4. Recertification or retake
If you passed, congratulations! Your certification is good for two years. After that, you’ll need to recertify. Visit the recertification page in Skuid Skool (coming soon) to learn how to keep your certification current. If your certification expires, you must take the exam again, so be sure to recertify before the expiration date.
If you didn’t pass, don’t worry—you can take the test again. Below are the details for a retake.
First retake:
- Must be taken within six months of the last attempt
- Can be taken after 7 days from the last failed attempt
- $25 retake fee
Second retake:
- Must be taken within six months of the last attempt
- Can be taken after one month from the last failed attempt
- $75 retake fee
If you fail three times, you must wait one year before registering for the exam again and paying the full registration fee.
After you complete your exam, you’ll receive an exam report that includes a breakdown of your score by area. Review any areas where your scores were low and continue to study the prep guide and take the practice exam. You can also reach out on the Community for additional preparation ideas.
What do I get if I pass?
In addition to the certification benefits described above, Skuid Certified Builders receive:
